The LPMS PTSA's Flex Academies after-school clubs are really picking up a head of steam! Response to the fall and winter classes has been excellent, and we are pleased to offer a host of new classes for the spring.

The PTSA/Flex Academies Spring Session registration is now open. Register online at http://lakelandspark.flexacademies.com.

The Spring list of classes is as follows:

Proceeds from the after-school program help fund the PTSA budget which pays for all our social events, staff appreciation luncheons, the two-week-long Artist in Residence program, the SeaPerch STEM program, financial aid for field trips/activities for needy students, Authors Workshops, counseling department initiatives, Extensions program field trips, PE equipment replacements, 8th grade end-of-year activities, new globes for the Media Center, classroom teacher $50 supply reimbursement program to help offset teachers' out-of-pocket expenses, grade-level assemblies on character development topics, and so much more.  In addition, this year at the school's request we hope to acquire 4 additional Promethean boards at a cost of several thousand dollars apiece for classrooms that are still without them and another 4 next year.  None of this happens without your financial support, and I thank you sincerely for giving so generously.  No student or staff member is unaffected by our efforts.

Keep Clipping Those Box Tops!

New contest will begin this Fall!!

LPMS PTSA will be holding a new contest to see who can turn in the most Box Tops for Education.

Click here to download the "Box Tops Collection Sheet" to which you attach your Box Tops.  Basic rules are:

• Download and print as many copies of the Box Tops Collection Sheet as you think you'll need for all your Box Tops (10 Box Tops per form).
• Tape or glue your individual, unexpired Box Tops to the form in the marked spaces.
• Submit your form(s) to the Main Office no later than 2:40 PM on <date to be announced>.
• Please don't forget to include the following information:
  • Your first and last name
  • Your grade
  • Your homeroom teacher's name
