This summer the Math Department of Quince Orchard High School is offering our annual summer math preparation courses. We have prep courses for honors geometry, and honors algebra 2. The purpose of these prep courses is to review and enhance the prerequisite skills that students need in order to be successful in mastering the concepts the course they will be taking next year. In addition, students will preview and explore some new concepts of the courses. Participation in this course will be beneficial for any student enrolled in honors geometry or honors algebra 2 for next year.
For our middle school students coming to high school we have observed that the summer preparation courses provides a nice transition and introduction to high school. Not only do our incoming ninth graders further develop their math skills, but they also become familiar with high school expectations and QO norms.
There will be two sessions from which to choose. Session 1 will be held the week of July 22 - July 26, and session 2 will be held July 29– August 2. Each session will run from 9:00 to 12:00. The cost is $130. If you would like to have your child participate, you may register online by going to the Quince Orchard High School website. You will find a link on the Math Department page.
